Armada Built were engaged to design and construct a new, iconic retail corner including the renowned Idle bakery and rooftop venue (RUMA Rooftop Bar) in the vibrant heart of New Farm. This boutique retail destination spans over 1,100 square meters across three levels, offering a dynamic mix of restaurant, dining, and retail experiences. Located at 84 Merthyr Rd, the project is a meticulously crafted, architecturally focused endeavour that seamlessly merges refined design with community engagement.

Working in collaboration with the esteemed architects Twohill & James, the development features a basement and two-level structure complemented by an expansive rooftop area and activated laneways. Thoughtfully landscaped spaces honour the local character, creating inviting environments for boutiques, restaurants, and bars.

The Little Lane mixed-use development earned the prestigious Commercial Refurbishment/Renovation from $3 million up to $10 million award at the Master Builders Queensland Housing & Construction Awards in 2026. The project was recognised as the winner for Commercial Refurbishment/Renovation ($3m to $10m) at both the Brisbane Regional and State levels.
